    Amsterdam Datacenter
    We moved most of our servers to a new collocation facility in Amsterdam to improve performance and handle increasing web traffic.

    Weather Station
    We decommissioned the old @gsyweather equipment on September 14, 2012 and are now using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus, the Anemometer mounted on a 15m mast to get the best possible data. The sensors fitted are: Rain Collector, Anemometer, Temperature and Humidity (located in a aspirated radiation shield), Solar Radiation and UV Radiation. All the sensors have been calibrated according to NIST Standards.

    Guernsey Datacenter
    We built a Datacenter in Guernsey to house our servers running numerical weather prediction models. We have our own Stratum 0 Time server which is accurate to ±20NS. The datacenter is secured by an advanced multi-factor electronic access control system with intruder detection and fitted with 24 Hour monitored CCTV, environmental and fire alarms.

    Our beginnings
    WeatherGG began on March 2, 2010 as a Twitter feed tweeting the weather every hour @gsyweather
